This is my second time around trying to get healthy. I transitioned into working a full-time job within the last year, which meant less time for working out. At the same time, I fell in love and gained ‘love weight.’ My boyfriend still finds me sexy and loves me completely, which makes me more happy than I can ever say. Although I have these two amazing things happening in my life and the fact that this is the most ME I have ever felt in my whole life, I’ve been getting a fair amount of remarks on how I need to change my body and get thinner, and apparently it’s for my own good. Never mind that when I was unhappy and sad for half of the time I was at my thinnest. They don’t see that.

For all of you who are in the process of losing weight and you have people discouraging you by telling you that you’re overweight or that you don’t currently look good, FUCK THEM. You’re trying your best and that’s all that matters. Being healthy isn’t only physical appearance, it’s a state of mind. You have to have the self-esteem and know that you’re beautiful just as you are and if you want to change lifestyle, it will only enhance it. Don’t let negativity hinder your progress, use it as motivation and fuel that fire. 

Now that I’m pissed off, I’m going for a 7 mile run and I’m going to kill that shit. Don’t put me down, you don’t know my damn life.
